Australian star cricket player Mitchell starc has announced his exit from the upcoming edition of IPL following an injury. Mitchell Starc is one of the fastest bowlers of the world. The pacer had been acquired by the Shah Rukh Khan owned Kolkata knight riders franchise for the upcoming edition of Indian premier league cricket tournament. 

 


With the IPL tournament scheduled to begin in a few days, yesterday, Mitchell Starc sustained an injury during the test match against South Africa. Following his injury, he was replaced by a player named Chad Sayers in the same Australian team. After getting replaced, Mitchell Starc immediately returned back home to Australia, and cricket Australia had made an announcement that due to his injured right hand; Starc won't be able to participate in the IPL.

It must be noted that Kolkata knight riders team had been heavily relying on Mitchell Starc to lead the pace attack and give them a breakthrough, and had purchased him in the IPL auction for a price of 9.4 Crores. It must be noted that even in 2016 and 2017, Mitchell Starc didn't play the IPL editions, because of his international commitments and injury respectively, and this is the third consecutive times Starc misses IPL.
