The 51st match of the Vivo IPL 2018, between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad, began with the Royal Challengers Bangalore batting first. Thought openers Parthiv Patel and skipper Virat Kohli departed earlier,  Mr.360 Ab De Villiers and Moeen Ali accelerated the score smashing boundaries and sixes,as they forged an important stand.


De Villiers scored 69(39b,124,1x6), and Moeen Ali ended scoring 65(34b,2x4,6x6), and Grandhomme scored a stunning cameo of 401(17b,1x4,4x6), propelling Royal Challengers to 218/6. supported by Sarfaraz scoring 22*(8). The Sunrisers Hyderabad began their innings with Dhawan departing early scoring just 18.



The other opener Hales departed scoring 37(34), while skipper Kane Williamson began a stand with Manish Pandey who was scoring tenaciously and was very much out of form. Though Williamson was constantly threatening and ended scoring a rocking  81(42b,7x4,5x6), his departure ended Sunrisers hopes, as Siraj and Southee kept the Sunrisers and Manish Pandey 62*(38) on control as they ended on 204/3. with RCB winning by 14 runs.
