The 1st super four matches of the Asia Cup between India and Bangladesh began with India winning the toss and deciding to field first. Bangladesh began on a disastrous note with both the openers dismissed cheaply by Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Bumrah.



Shakib Al Hasan(17) and Mushfiqur Rahim (21) tried to steady the team before Ravindra Jadeja struck twice to dismiss them. Mahmadullah (25) and Mashrafe Mortaza (26) scored some good shots before being dismissed, and Mehidy Hasan top scored with 42(50) to take Bangladesh to a respectable 173 in 49.1 overs.



Ravindra Jadeja picked an impressive 4/29, while Bhuvaneshwar Kumar scalped 3/32 and Bumrah picked 3/37. Chasing 174, India began on a steady note with openers, skipper Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan bludgeoning Bangladesh bowling attack.



Dhawan was dismissed for 40(47), after a strong opening stand of 61, while Rohit was steadily scoring shots at the other end. As Rohit completed his half-century, Rayudu was dismissed for 13 and entered MS Dhoni with India at 106/2. As Rohit 83(104)* progressed further in the company of Dhoni who scored 33(37), India reached 174/3 in 36.2 overs, winning by 7 wickets.
