The third ODI of West Indies tour of India began with India Winning the Toss and deciding to field first. Windies batting began on a disastrous note as Jasprit Bumrah removed openers Hemraj(15) and Powell (21) early. Marlon Samuels departed soon as well.



However Hopes stood firm, accompanied by Hetmyer, and the duo forged a partnership before Kuldeep Yadav removed Hetmyer for 37(21). Skipper Jason holder chipped in with a cameo of 32(39), and Hopes valiant knock ended with him missing a well deserved century, as he was out for 95(113b, 6x4,3x6). 



At the lower end, Nurse blasted away Indian bowlers as he scored a belligerent cameo of 40(22b, 4x4,2x6) as Windies posted a competitive total of 283/9. Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers with an impressive figure of 4/35. The  Indian innings began on a disastrous note as opener Rohit Sharma was dismissed early for 8(9). Dhawan stood for a while, trying to provide support to Kohli but departed for 35(45).



Skipper Virat Kohli blasted away yet another solid knock, even as Ambati Rayudu was dismissed quickly scoring 22(24) and Rishabh pant was scalped for 24(18), leaving India reeling at 172/4. MS Dhoni also was dismissed, with Skipper Kohli waging a lone battle before he was dismissed scoring his third consecutive ton, 107(119b, 10x4,1x6). The Windies made a quick work of the Indian tail, as they finished the proceedings with India bundled out for 240, as West Indies won the match by 43 runs with 14 balls to spare.
