The fourth and final test between India and Australia began with Aussies resuming on 24/0, with openers beginning positively before Kuldeep Yadav removed Khawaja for 27(71). Opener Harris and Labuschagne then steadied the team, before Jadeja eliminated Harris for 79(120). 



While Labuschagne planned to stay floated with a composed knock, Jadeja dismissed Marsh 8(13), and this was followed by Labuschagne's wicket after a decent 38(95). Head partnered with Handscomb and tried to resurrect the team with a partnership but Kuldeep removed Head, as Aussies were left worried at 192/5.



Skipper Tim Paine returned to the pavilion after just 5(14), becoming Kuldeep's 3rd victim, but Cummins began attacking Indian bowlers not letting the momentum getting snatched by them. With Handscomb 28(91)* and Cummins 25(41)* on crease, Aussies were helped by weather, as bad light stopped play early, with the team ending at 236/6, trailing by  386 runs. Kuldeep Yadav scalped 3/71, while Jadeja got 2/62.
