The 4th and final test of the Border Gavaskar trophy ended with the match getting called off due to consistent rain leading to match ending a draw. The Australian opening batsmen Marcus Harris 2(12)* and Usman Khawaja 4(12)* were earlier not out as Aussies were on 6/0 earlier, after being given a follow-on, trailing by 316 runs.




 After the result of this Sydney test match, India has officially won the test series against Australia 2-1, and this has been an achievement in Australia after 72 long years. Cheteshwar Pujara was given the man of the match award for his massive 193(373).
 


 Pujara was also declared player of the series, with him being the maximum run scorer in either side in the series, with 521 runs, and an average of 74. He had scored three centuries helping India. Virat Kohli praised Pujara, opener Mayank Agarwal and the Indian bowlers for being consistent in the series.
