The second match of IPL 2019 took place between Sun Risers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. Dinesh Karthik won the toss opted to bowl. The Match had high expectations as it marks the comeback of David Warner after a year.



Warner typically played his shots and scored a blitzkrieg 85 and propelled SRH's score to 181/3 in 20 overs. Kolkata which started the chase was moving at a snail pace and they just managed 70/1 in the first 10 overs. However, after the departure of Dinesh Karthik, all hopes were lost.



But Andre Russell had other plans and he smashed 49 of 19 balls with 4 boundaries and 4 sixers and stayed Not out until the end. KKR chased the total in 19.4 overs and ensured they crossed the end line on a smooth note. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar who captained the SRH just gave 16 runs in his first 3 overs but went for 21 runs in the penultimate over.
