The 50th match of IPL between CSK and DC began with Delhi capitals winning toss and fielding first. Opener Faf Du Plessis scored a patient 39(41), while at the other end despite fall of Shane Watson early, Raina scored an important 59(37).
With Jadeja's stunning 25(10) and skipper MS Dhoni scoring an unbeaten quickfire powerful knock of 44(22)*, CSK reached 179/4 in 20 overs with Jagadeesha Suchith claiming 2/28. The Delhi capitals batting began on a disastrous note as openers Prithvi shah and Shikhar Dhawan departed early.
Shreyas Iyer scored a much needed 44(32) but the rest of the batsmen fell like a pack of cards unable to score even double-digit scores as Jadeja got 3/9 and Imran Tahir got 4/12 bundling out DC for 99 and winning the match by 80 runs.
