Sources have stated that they have been hearing reports of Indian IT giants such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra etc. sacking employees in the wake of slowdown in the industry. The magnitude of the losses being incurred by the Indian IT firms can be gauged with the emerging reports of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest IT services company planning to fold up its operations in Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports it was stated that several employees of TCS working at company's Lucknow office claim that they have already been informed that the company was planning to shut down its operations in the city by the end of this year. It was stated that the ongoing projects in the office are reportedly being shifted to other cities.
