Monsoon retreat begins, most delayed retreat in 59 years
Conditions are getting conducive for monsoon to retreat from the country, IMD said, in next two days monsoon will retreat from northeast including Delhi. This year monsoon retreat is most delayed in last 59 years.
Finally, this year monsoon is retreating from the country after conditions getting conducive. Monsoon 2019 got delayed by nearly 40 days, thus making it the most delayed monsoon in last 49 years. The IMD (Indian meteorological department) declared the withdrawal of monsoon from Punjab, Rajasthan, and Haryana from Wednesday, subsequently the monsoon will retreat further from northern and central India.
This year monsoon was most delayed in last 59 years, in 1961 the monsoon retrieval started after October 1. Series of low pressures in bay of Bengal kept the monsoon going, even after the retrieval date. The monsoon will further withdraw from north-eastern parts of country including delhi in next two three days, eventually it will get withdrawn from north and central india subsequently.
india collectively received excess rainfall, the central and southern peninsular region of the country received the maximum amount of monsoon rains this year.
