'The Old Guard' is all about a warrior named Andy and a covert group of mercenaries who have the power to stay alive forever. They fight and protect the mortal world for centuries. But when the team is recruited to take on an emergency mission and their extraordinary abilities are suddenly exposed, it's up to Andy and nile (Kiki Layne), the newest soldier to join their ranks, to help the group eliminate the threat. This movie is based on the 5-part graphic novel from Image Comics, written by Greg Rucka, art by Leandro Fernández.
charlize theron proves her mettle as an actress once again. After 'Atomic Blonde' the actress is completely seen in a full-fledged action role. Her non-stop kickass action sequences are a complete treat. The layers of her character are written so well. Also, she sends a message to the viewers that resonate so well.
Greg Rucks has written so well and the way he developed each character gives the viewers so much time to blend with them. The visuals are stunning and the VFX team creates something so hauntingly terrifying and magical when the group is first attacked. Don't miss this Action bonanza and it is available on Netflix.
