The 2010 historical romantic entertainer Madarasapattinam helmed by director AL vijay and starring arya and amy jackson in lead roles was released before 10 years and now on the 10th-anniversary director AL vijay has opened up about his choice for the movie.
Madarasapattinam happens to be Brit bikini Babe Amy Jackson's kollywood debut and she went on to star in movies in tamil such as Theri, Ai, 2.0 besides telugu, kannada and bollywood movies but she wasn't actually the first choice to play the female lead.
AL vijay revealed that he initially wanted to cast hollywood actress Vanessa Hudgens of Spring Breakers' fame but could not reach her but liked Amy's photos post-Miss World Teen, and she arrived for auditions of Madarasapattinam and he immediately signed her. amy jackson took to Instagram stories and thanked all the fans for wishing her for making debut on 'Madrasapattinam' and she thanked all the fans for making her debut movie a huge success.
