MKU, one of India’s largest private sector defence exporter and manufacturer of ballistic protection solutions and electro optic systems will be unveiling the Network Centric Integrated Combat System for Soldiers (NICS) at the Defexpo 2016 exhibition being held at Goa, India. The NICS system is developed by MKU’s team in India and Germany. At its core is the CIBA system – an integrated body armour with a health monitoring system that not only provides the lightest protection but also enables the combatants to remain connected to their communication and information networks by integrating and connecting all his devices including handheld computers and displays, personal radios and battery packs. The CIBA is complemented by MUKUT helmet and MACS from which help the soldier connect multiple devices like NVDs, Mic and Headset, Cameras & Torches to the system and battery packs.
In today’s asymmetric environment, information is the key requirement to increase the situational awareness and survivability quotient of the individual soldier. He uses various sensors and communication devices that connect him to his base information and communication networks. "NICS has been developed with the aim to provide an ideal solution tackling integration challenges of various future soldier programs and the Indian BMS program," said Mr. Vaibhav Gupta, Director MKU on the occasion.
MKU is also introducing a completely new range of electro optic systems at Defexpo 2016. These include various Thermal Imaging Devices, Night Vision Devices, Laser Range Finder and Day EO Devices. The 9th edition of Defexpo, the prime defence exhibition for land, air and naval systems in India, is being held in Goa from 28th - 31st March, 2016.
MKU will have a large presence at the exhibition. Besides the NICS and the new range of EO devices MKU will also be showcasing a wide range of personal and platform armouring solutions that deploy the latest 6th Generation Armouring Technology including the MUKUT advanced combat helmets, its flagship helmet that has been tested by HP White Laboratories, USA to offer up to 40% less blunt trauma compared to normal helmets. Keeping in mind the special requirements of the Indian Forces for its upcoming vehicle programs.
MKU will also showcase the development of solutions it has created for the land and airborne systems. MKU has provided protection to over 2000 platforms and 1.5 million soldiers till date and continually strives to develop solutions and products that give an edge to combatants in challenging situations.
