Earlier this month, kerala Police made its debut on TikTok in a bid to use the popular video-sharing platform to keep a watchful eye on the unlawful activities by users, imparting safety lessons and creating awareness about various issues. And now, less than a month later, Uttarakhand Police has followed kerala Police's lead by joining the medium.

Uttarakhand Police recently joined TikTok in a bid to impart messages on safety and social relevance to the citizens and connecting with them directly. At the time of writing this article, the Uttarakhand Police had garnered 14.1K followers, while the kerala Police had garnered 227.2K followers.



"We believe being on TikTok gives us the opportunity to be easily approachable, while allowing us to connect with the general public at a very personal level", Uttarakhand Police Director General (Law and Order) ashok KUMAR' target='_blank' title='click here to read more about ashok KUMAR'>ashok kumar said in a statement. "Uttarakhand Police would like to share awareness videos related to road safety, cyber security, woman safety and other social issues through this platform," he added.
