Scientists have recreated the accurate looks of few individuals, two of 37 individuals faces were reconstructed that were found buried in Rakhigiri cemetery of Indus valley civilization.
A team of 15 scientists and academics of various institutes of south Korea, UK, and india have successfully reconstructed the faces of two individuals belonging to Indus valley civilization, they applied CFR (craniofacial reconstruction) using the CT (computed tomography) to skulls found in Rakhigiri cemetery.
The case study by these scientists is partly granted by National Geographic society, it is published in this reputed Journal. It wasn’t easy to recreate the physical appearance of people of Indus valley civilization because the cemeteries and grave hasn’t been studied sufficiently till date, for recreating the morphology of individual of civilization, the anthropological data wasn’t enough.
The CFR technology is successful in recreating the faces of two individuals so far, as per 3d video presentation of the individuals, it appear that individuals were Caucasians with hawk-shaped and Roman noses. Elaborating on this topic, scientists told its a big breakthrough in the concerned research programme. However the study cautions against any generic drawing.
