Ingredients:
  • Prawns - 500 grams
  • Onion - 11/2 (Finely chopped)
  • Ginger - 11/2 tbsp (Finely chopped)
  • Green chilli - 2 (Finely chopped)
  • Red chilli powder- 11/2 tsp(Adjust according to your spice level)
  • corriander powder - 3/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Corriander leaves - for garnishing


Method:

  • Peel the skin, devein and wash the prawns; Keep aside.
  • Take a kadai, add the cleaned prawns, chopped ginger, salt, turmeric powder and chopped green chillies .
  • Close the lid and cook in a medium flame by adding 1/4 cup water only for 4- 5 minutes(stir in between to avoid sticking)
  • Heat oil in a separate kadai; Temper it with curry leaves and add finely chopped onions.
  • Saute till the colour changes and now add separately cooked prawn and all the spice powders;
  • cook well till the masala coats over the prawns.
