Ingredients
2 cups basmati rice
2 cups carrot, grated
1 tsp garam masala powder
3 bay leaves
4 green chillies, finely chopped
A small piece of ginger, finely chopped
Half cup oil
1 tsp salt
Method of preparation
1. Heat oil in a small cooker and fry the bay leaves and the chopped chillies.
2. Now stir in the washed and drained rice and fry for 2 minutes.
3. Add grated carrots, garam masala powder, salt and 2 cups of water.
4. Pressure cook on high flame for 5 minutes.
5. Serve hot the carrot rice, garnished with chopped coriander leaves and roasted nuts.
