Second generation Innova is expected to make its debut on November 23.
Seen here are new images of the 2016 Toyota Innova, which shows the MPV’s seating layout and array of airbags. As reported earlier, the top-end variant of the 2016 Innova gets 7 airbags (dual front+side+curtain+driver knee), while even base variants will get three airbags (dual front+driver knee) as standard.
Earlier this year, Toyota Kirloskar Motor standardized dual airbags on all variants of the Innova sold in India.
Both images show the top-end ‘Q’ variant of the 2016 Innova, hence the captain’s chair arrangement for the second row. In base variants, the Innova is expected with a traditional bench for the second row. It is also to be noted that the 2016 Innova gets tray tables, a feature observed on the Renault Lodgy, which is one of the many competitors to the Innova.
Revealing images have shown that the 2016 Innova will be equipped with ambient lighting, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
To recap, the 2016 Innova is expected to make its premiere on November 23 in Indonesia. The MPV will be available with a 2.0-liter petrol engine and a 2.4-liter diesel engine paired to a 5-speed manual or a a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The 2016 Innova swaps its 2.5-liter KD diesel engine for the all-new 2.4-liter unit.
