Students were given time until 6 pm on May 18 to apply for re-evaluation and to get a copy of their answer scripts through their school, whereas the private candidates had to apply via their examination center and the deadline was unknown to many students in the city.

A student of a private school in Annanagar, Chennai has said that he wanted to apply for revaluation in maths as he aspired to apply for engineering but had no idea about the deadline for the revaluation procedure and none of them knew that we had to apply within two days of the results.

Many students felt it was too short a time for them to apply. The fact that rains has hit the city on Tuesday and Wednesday has made it that much harder for students to go to schools to make inquiries and some students have missed the bus due to lack of awareness about the deadline of applying for revaluation.

Roshni M a student of Kalagi Ranganathan Montford Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Perambur has told that her school has sent a message to her parents two days ahead of results informing them that students could seek re-totaling and get a copy of our answer script through the school.
