The disaster stories of Akhil Akkineni's debut movie, Akhil seem to be not ending. The movie which has seen a pre-release business of 47 Crore is now even struggling to collect at least 20 Crore at the box office. This is the biggest flop this year. While every one are terming it as a debut flop for Akhil. Many forgot that the movie is also the Production debut venture of Nithin.
This is the biggest lost for Nithin's banner till date. Nithin's family made good money by producing films with him in the second innings. We are said that Nithin had promised a whopping remuneration of 7 Crore for Akhil for this movie. This is also the highest remuneration for a debutante in Telugu.
However Akhil was only paid 3 Crore till date and with this huge failure, Nithin is in no mood to pay the rest of the amount. Akhil had given his 100% for his role in the film. Like never before for a debutante, he put too much of efforts in dances and fights. More over he toured many places in both the Telugu states and even USA, carrying out the promotions almost singlehandedly but nothing helped the movie at the end.
It is said that Akhil was in deep depression following this flop. Nagarjuna reportedly sent him to Goa on a holiday with some friends so that he will be diverted from this. He will take a good break and will only then introspect what went wrong with Akhil. Also Akhil's second project will now take more time as a failure in the second film too will seal his fate.
