Sundar.C was last seen with Action-Comedy movie 'Aambala'. The director is now directing a sequel to the Horror Comedy 'Aranmanai' in 2014. Shooting of 'Aranmanai 2' started by May and now the shooting is wrapped up. Siddarth will be doing male lead and Trisha will be pairing opposite him.
Hansika who did role of ghost earlier is also doing a crucial role. The movie has a strong supporting cast of actors like Poonam Bajwa, Kovai Sarala, Sathish and Manobala. Hip-Hop Aadhi who made his debut in 'Aambala' is once again composing music for Sundar.C.
U.K.Senthil Kumar handles the cinematography. N.B.Srikanth handles the cuts. 'Aadukalam' fame Naren is doing role of antagonist in this movie. Now regarding the movie, Hansika said, once again her role will make an impact on the viewers. She said,
"We are confident about the end product. The role which I am playing in the sequel will be something similar to the first part. But I will be coming only towards the intermission. But just like first part, it would be my role which will get more sympathies. I am the sentiment quotient."
