Since the day of the state bifurcation, one of the most talked about topic about the future of Telugu film industry is about the industry's possible shift or expansion to the residuary Andhra Pradesh. While the shift seem to be not easy immediately due to the lack of necessary infrastructure in AP, but industry is definitely expanding to AP.

It is evident from the movie promotional events of the star films these days. We have seen Baahubali audio launch happening in Tirupati and Akhil Akkineni promoting his debut film, Akhil aggressively in AP. Now more audio functions are also heading towards AP. Balayya's Dictator will have the audio launch event in Amaravati, the upcoming state capital of Andhra Pradesh.

And now Gopichand's Soukhyam will also have its audio release function in Ongole, the home town of the actor. Industry biggies feel Hyderabad is struggling to host big fat audio functions due to space constraints and Police permissions becoming difficult for such events. So the makers are opting AP for their audio launch event.

This may be the first step for the expansion of industry to Andhra Pradesh. If the government there, encourages the film makers with more incentives then we may see industry flourishing in both the states in future.
