The cinematographer confirmed the news with a tweet. He tweeted, "Looking forward to doing the film with Murugodoss , Mahesh Babu, next year." He is the first cinematographer in the Asia-Pacific region to be honoured with the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) membership.
