'Tamasha' is an romantic comedy directed by Imtiaz Ali. The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie features Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Music was composed by A.R.Rahman. The movie after lots of hype and hoopla got released yesterday.
The movie was censored 'U/A' due to some kissing scenes and that caused some controversy. The team also promoted the movie extensively and the expectations were sky high for the project. And despite mixed reviews, the movie has got off to a decent start.
Trade analysts have mentioned that 'Tamasha' has came as a competitor to the two week old 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'. The movie is having some magic created by the lead pair Ranbir and Deepika Padukone. The trade sources said that Tamasha has a decent opening with a theatre occupancy of 40% on a week day.
The bookings are low but with good word of mouth the movie is expected to pick up. However a drop is expected on opening day figures. Most reports say that Tamasha is just like other Imtiaz Ali movies which is just for multiplex audience.
