Puri Jagannadh is one of the Top directors in Tollywood and is one of the most paid directors here after Pokiri. However like his guru, Ram Gopal Varma, Puri Jagannadh's career is on a decline. Puri Jagannadh's last film with a top hero is NTR's Temper. The movie despite a decent result, have not got the lift Puri is anticipating.
After Temper, Puri directed Varun Tej in his second film, Loafer which is again a flop. Puri is currently directing a new comer, Ishaan in a film titled 'Rogue'. Ishaan is a son of a rich producer. After this project, Puri will be directing Nandamuri Kalyan Ram after Rogue. Considering his track record after Temper, all the projects are with low grade actors indicating Puri's career low.
Puri definitely needs a big hit with Rogue to come back or else things will become even difficult for him. Puri Jagannadh is one director who gives a new dimension to all his actors. A little more seriousness from the director, will definitely do good to Puri as well as Tollywood. Probably the Ram Gopal Varma effect should go out very quickly.
