Sonam Kapoor is still happy as she is getting praises for the role of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot for the movie 'Neerja'. She reprised role of Pan America flight attendant who lost her life trying to save the life of passengers from on board terrorists. The movie got released on 19th february and it was labelled as 'Hit'.
The biopic was based on a real life incident which happened on 5th September 1986. Prashant Gupta did male lead along with Sonam Kapoor. Ram Madhvani directed the project and Atul Kasbekar produced it under Fox Star Studios banner.
Now speaking about the movie Anil Kapoor said, "There are lots of changes in film making. People are making lots of biopics on Sports personalities and atheletes. Even Neerja is based on biopic of a girl who is not so popular till the movie got released. I am a proud father as my daughter has reprised role of 'Neerja'."
Anil Kapoor was in Delhi with his Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Farhan Akhtar at an event to announce the 17th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards. The four-day award show will be held in Spain from June 23rd.
