Telugu Film Industry is facing a major beat nowadays, that is the 'directionless' directors. Poor planning, lack of bound-scripts, done-to-death stories, forced parodies, banking on fight-song-comedy formula, no command in the subject, unable to come up with new ideas, failing to gauge perfect run-time for the story, cliches, forcing producer to go under table before taking up a project. From average films to flops to tollywood is witnessing several problems including from all side. Lets see some directors who went directionless after delivering a flop.

Srikanth Addala:

Srikanth Addala:  The director's last film with Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh was a high budget film and reports had it that the film's run-time was too lengthy! Producer Dil Raju involved and removed all portions of Brahmanandam from the film. This made a great change in the result of Brahmotsavam movie.
Sreenu Vaitla: After failure of Aagadu, movie he came out with action movie Bruce Lee. The film bombed at BO and distributors faced huge loss. Vaitla had delivered good films long ago, but something is missing full attention and the impression in the script.

Sukumar :

The problem with Sukumar is he is making 'BO failure' projects.  Post One-Nenokkadine's failure, Sukumar did Nannaku Prematho which again increased cost of production. Though Nannaku Prematho received decent collection and good word of mouth, the profits weren't much recovered due to high production cost.

Seenu Vitla:

Oopiri might have received good reviews all over. But the reality is that the film hasn't made profit as publicized. One of the major stumbling blocks for the film was its high-budget. Approximately 60 Crore was spent on its pre release and production cost, the multi-starrer film ended up in manageable losses. Even positive word-of-the-mouth, rave reviews, high publicity didn't help the movie in boxoffice.

Vamisi Paidipally:

Shocked all audience with his dud Akhil. Touted to be debut of a star kid, the movie got destroyed without a trace and left out disappointing the buyers. Even Vinayak's Alludu Seenu was a failure project.

Bobby :

Pawan Kalyan's Sardaar Gabbar Singh is yet another shocker to the industry. The movie directed by Bobby with Pawan Kalyan's supervision, story and screenplay, bitten the dust. Although it had record openings, the film didn't continue its BO glory due to its poor talk.

Surendar Reddy :

VVV Vinayak:

Jagarlamudi got it wrong while making war-film Kanche. Over-budget was one of the drawback for this film's failure besides. others.
Dictator, Speedunnodu, Dasaradh's Shourya, Madan's Garam, Ramesh Varma's Abbayitho Ammayi all have turned out to be disaster as the audience rejected the films for right reason

Even many star heroes are trusting on these 'directionless' directors which is resulting in average movies. It's an important wake-up call for directors, stars, producers and distributors.
