Soundarya Rajinikanth's marriage with businessman Ashwin Ramkumar is said to be heading for a divorce due to irreconcilable differences. Attempts by family members to solve the issue have apparently also failed.

Soundarya and Ashwin have a son named Ved, who was born on May 6, 2015. The couple had tied the knot in a grand event in 2010 with approval from family elders, following a courtship period of two years. The wedding was the talk of the town as celebrities from all the leading film industries had graced the marriage.
However, the rumours of Soundarya Rajinikanth's trouble marriage was doing for a while as she was not seen with her husband at public places. It grew stronger after she promoted her father's "Kabali" with her sibling Aishwarya and her brother-in-law Dhanush and not with Ashwin.
Also, the actress, who is active on social media site, used to share her familial moments with Ashwin earlier. Apparently, Soundarya has avoided it. But she is seen sharing about her son and other members of the family.
Coming to her professional life, Soundarya Rajinikanth started associating with film industry as a graphic designer and turned producer with Venkat Prabhu's "Goa." She also made her directorial debut with "Kochadaiiyaan." But the film bombed at the box office.
In the recent times, this is the second celebrity marriage in Kollywood which is heading for a divorce after AL Vijay-Amala Paul.
