Today is a very special day to all those who are associated with the entertainment industry and cinema. Indian cinema has completed 100 years of its existence and a lot is happening to commemorate this special milestone. While Indian cinema is 100 years, Tollywood in itself has completed more than 80 years.
In terms of contribution, Tollywood has produced some of the legendary actors to cinema like N T Rama Rao, ANR and others. Not just in terms of actors but also in expanding the infrastructure of cinema, moguls like Ramoji Rao, Superstar Krishna, Ramanaidu, Akkineni family have come up with studios and all required setups.
Creativity is also another major contribution from Tollywood as some of the best hits in Telugu have been taken by Bollywood and made into blockbusters. Though the national media may not recognize the regional industries as big, the members of Tollywood and their audience are fully aware of how Telugu cinema has created its own pages in history.
