Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt plunged into deep trouble as his efforts to escape from 5 yrs jail term was stalled by Supreme Court today. Sanjay Dutt contrary to his public posture, filed review petition in Supreme Court against its order convicting and awarding 5 yrs of capital punishment in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.

SC bench comprising of justices P Sathasivam and B S Chauhan, which had delivered on March 21 verdict, refused to review its verdict on Dutt's plea. Earlier Sanjay Dutt was granted four weeks time to surrender so as to enable him complete his film projects.

Now he has only 5 more days to surrender. As per court orders he should surrender on May 16th. Dutt was convicted by TADA court for illegal possession a 9 mm pistol and an AK-56 rifle which were used in Mumbai serial blasts. Sanjay Dutt is starring in Ram Charan Teja's Zanjeer including many other high profile projects.
