The South Indian Filmfare awards held yesterday was the cynosure of all eyes as the event witnessed celebrities and glitterati from all south Indian industries converged at one place. Hitex auditorium in Hyderabad was a witness to the glitz and glamour from hot beauties and other talented stars form Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil industries.

However the highlight of the event was the fact that Ram Charan aka Cherry who had come to the stage and received the award on behalf of his uncle Pawan Kalyan who was declared as the Best Actor for his stellar performance in Gabbar Singh.

As is the unsaid norm, whenever anyone from a film is not present to take the award, then another prominent person involved in that film will go ahead and take the award but this time it was rather unusual such that in the absence of Power Star, the director of Gabbar Singh or any key person didn’t come forward but Cherry took the award. The grapevine doing the rounds is whether Cherry is trying to portray an image of unity within the Konidela family with reports that all is not well between Chiru-Allu Aravind camp and Pawan-Naga Babu camp!
