Sources have stated that millions of Indians have wished for Indian contestant Roshmitha Harimurthy to bring the Miss Universe Crown of this year to India but unfortunately, she couldn't. Currently Miss France Iris Mittenaere has been bestowed upon with the crown at Miss Universe 2017 beauty pageant held in Philippines. She had a tough competition from the other two finalists Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier ( 1st runner-up) and Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar (2nd-runner-up) but the French woman nailed it especially in the Q&A session.
Sources have stated that Mittenaere, 24, is currently pursuing a degree in dental surgery. After the win, she said that she plans to use the Miss Universe glory to advocate for dental and oral hygiene. Roshmitha Harimurthy, the 22 year old Bangalore model, who represented India, looked her best at the prestigious beauty pageant but she could not make it to even the final 13.
Meanwhile it's been 17 years since India won the Miss Universe title, Lara
Dutta was crowned last in 2000. Moreover the 13 Finalists of the competition
were from Kenya, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Panama, Colombia, Philippines,
Canada, Brazil, France, Haiti, Thailand and USA.
