Bollywood actor Salman Khan may end up with ten years in jail if he is convicted in a homicide case whch has come up for trial this week in a Mumbai criminal court. Eleven years ago a drunk Salman had driven his land rover car on pavement sleepers in Bandra killing one person and injuring several including women and children .
Bollywood sources say that the industry has invested over Rs.300 crore on Salman films two of which are coming up for release this Dasara festival . In the year 2002, Salman Khan was charged with allegedly running his car over five people Over ten years on, however, the case is still very much in the limelight.
The 47 year old actor has previously served two years in jail when found guilty of causing death by negligent driving in another case . He is also convicted in the wild life case for killig some black cuks in Rajasthan during shooting of Hum saath saath Hai .
