Bollywood industry's Padmavati has been making news ever since its announcement and fans could barely hold their excitement to watch Deepika Ranveer in another film together. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati features Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. It’s for the first time that RS will be seen playing the role of an antagonist in his film career as Alauddin Khilji in the film who is obsessed with the beauty of Queen Padmavati.
When asked about his role in the movie, Ranveer told “It was a very difficult character to play. He is a people pleaser, admittedly. He like to spread cheer and laughter and likes to keep the atmosphere light even if it means making stupid jokes and acting silly and crass. But, when he became Alauddin Khilji for the movie, there’s no trace of that person.”
Moreover the teaser of this historical drama will
be released on 21 September, while the film hits the theatres
on November 17.
