The Tamil film Vikram Vedha has been one of the biggest success stories of this year, as the crime drama starring Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, besides Shraddha Srinath and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar turned out to be a huge Blockbuster, and the first success post-GST and post-Baahubali 2 Storm.
The action-packed entertainer directed by the duo Pushkar-Gayatri, starred Vijay Sethupathi as a gangster Vedha and Madhavan as cop Vikram, on the hunt for him. The film grossed more than 50 crores and is the biggest hit in Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi's careers.
With speculations that its Telugu remake might star Nagarjuna and Madhavan/ Rana Daggubati, the industry abuzz with news that the Hindi remake rights of the same have been acquired by Shahrukh Khan's Red chilies entertainment which will co-produce the film along with YNot studios. It is to be seen if the project materializes, and whether SRK plays cop Vikram or Gangster Vedha, as he recently played a gangster in Raees. It is expected that Venkatesh or Nagarjuna will take up the role in Telugu version!
