From the past three years whenever there has been a disturbance in the political issue the first impact of that has fallen on the cinema industry and Tollywood has suffered a lot of damage. Now, the T-JAC have vowed to stop films like ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ ‘Attarintiki Daaredi’ ‘Yevadu’ due to their own political reasons.
But many analysts and other intellectuals are stating that the T-seekers must understand one thing about Tollywood. Cinema and politics are two entirely different subjects and they can’t be linked to one another. Already, the Telugu audience is feeling so down and depressed due to lack of proper Telugu films.
This is rather ironical that despite India-Pakistan being arch enemies, Indian films are given a red carpet welcome in Pakistan and here in Andhra Pradesh our own Telugu people are not allowing Telugu films to be screened. Is it immaturity? A form of art deserves to have its freedom so let us hope the T-seekers show that wisdom and rescue Tollywood.
