Actors Prabhas and Sunil belong to two different categories of heroes and there can be no comparison in terms of their fan following and box office strength. But recently something happened wherein Sunil has been chosen as a replacement for Prabhas. This is a little surprising but here is the story.
It is heard that long back rebel star Krishnamraju wanted to do the remake of the film ‘Bhakta Kannappa’ with Prabhas but recently Tanikella Bharani announced the film and stated that Sunil will be the hero. Some of them felt it was not a right thing and Prabhas should have been there.
But there is a reason. If Prabhas has to do ‘Bhakta Kannappa’ the budget will easily touch fifty to sixty crores but if Sunil is the hero then it can be completed within fifteen crores. Also, Tanikella Bharani is known to be a very staunch devotee of Lord Shiva and he has good grip over the subject.
Sources say this is also one reason why Krishnamraju diverted his attention towards making the other film ‘Okka Adugu’ and put ‘Bhakta Kannappa’ aside. What has to be seen is how Sunil is going to do justice to this role if everything gets confirmed.
