Actor Nikhil's Karthikeya was planned to release on August 1st. The makers have also sent in an official press note confirming this. However, they say the release may be in doubt now as the movie unit is not fully satisfied with few scenes and a song in the movie and are right now re-shooting them. However the makers are still keen on releasing the film on that day and are trying their level best.
Nikhil has pinned many hopes on this film to continue the success streak he started with Swamy Ra Ra. The actor had to wait years after the success of Happy Days for his second hit. And it came with Swamy Ra Ra. Karthikeya is a bilingual shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. The film is about a medico who comes to a village and is greeted by a mystery of a series of deaths in the backdrop of a temple.
Colours Swathi is playing the female lead in the movie. Her second film with Nikhil after Swamy Ra Ra. Chandu Mondeti will be making his directorial debut with this film. 'Nuvvila' fame Shekar Chandra will be composing tunes. Venkat Srinivas Boggaram is producing the movie on his Magnus Cineprime Pvt Ltd banner. Tanikella Bharani, Nasser and Rao Ramesh will be seen in important supporting roles in this project.
