Finally the workers of all the crafts of Telugu film industry have decided to call off their strike. This decision was taken after the Film Chamber heads promised to hike the wages. The decision regarding the increase will be decided by a joint committee of the Workers union and the chamber biggies. All the film shootings will be resumed from tomorrow. Till the decision will be taken regarding the new hikes, the shootings will go on with the old wages. However  the producers are required to pay the difference between the old and the revised wages starting from 21 Oct 2014 on wards. Several Big films which were stalled due to this strike will be looking forwards to resume their proceedings from tomorrow. Over 13000 film workers have participated in this strike for more than 10 days demanding a whopping 32% in the existing wages. At present, junior artistes and drivers get Rs 500, make-up men/women and costumers get Rs 800, light men get Rs 525 and production assistants get Rs 500 per day. They have to toil hard for the entire day from 6 in the morning to 6 in the evening.
