In one of her interviews to National media, Radhika Apte had opened a Pandora box by calling Telugu film industry as a Male Chauvinistic industry and a place where there is no respect for female artists. This comments had created a stir in industry as they are indirectly pointed at Balakrishna since Radhika Apte's both the Telugu films are with the senior actor — Legend and Lion.

There is no doubt that heroes are given utmost respect in our industry due to their larger than life image. But is there anything that upset Radhika Apte on the sets of Legend and Lion. We talked to the makers of both the films to clarify on that.
"I do not think she is any where close to being uncomfortable when shooting for Lion. She is thoroughly professional with her commitments and completed her part of the film in time. I don’t know why she made those comments. She was treated well on the sets", says Satyadeva, the director of Lion.

"I am totally unaware why she made such comments. She was given due respect during Legend shoot. In fact I have ended up paying more remuneration that agreed due to some extra work she did for the film", said Sai Korrapati, one of the producers of Legend. Interestingly, Radhika Apte did not attend any promotional activities of Legend. She is active on social media and is yet to tweet something about Legend or Lion.
