There are many cases in the past where films failed due to false publicity. The content of the film will be different and the makers opt to give 'Starcentric' titles just to satisfy the egos of the actors and their fans. When audience come to know that the content is different, obviously the movie fails to meet their expectations.


So directors are often cautious while planning the publicity of their films. It also happened with director Manmohan for his Budugu. It is a children film which will also appeal to their parents. So, he designed publicity in the way that the mother and the child are focused more. Obviously for the star value or the mother role, Lakshmi Manchu got a bigger space in all the publicity material.


However Lakshmi Manchu is not satisfied with that and want the director to keep her name on the posters like 'Lakshmi Manchu in Budugu'. The director did not agree with that since it will absurd to promote Lakshmi's name when the movie story demands the eight year boy to be the focal point of the script. Lakshmi's ego is hurt and it is also one of main reasons for the actress to opt out of the movie publicity. Her ego problem ultimately will kill a small film!
