Superstar Mahesh Babu who was cruising in his career with back to back successes hit sudden roadblock with two consecutive failures with Aagadu and 1-Nenokkadine. Both the films resulted in heavy losses for buyers. However there is not even an iota of that effect in the pre-release business of the movie.
Trade: 70 Crore Pre-release Business of Srimanthudu
The movie is expected to make over 67 Crore prerelease business and with dubbing and remake rights, it will easily cross 70 Crore. The timing of the release is very necessary to make sure the film is a safe project. The movie will release for July 17th only if Baahubali is not coming that month. Incase Baahubali is releasing on July 10th, Srimanthudu will be pushed to August 14th.
