Except for Sumanth and Sushanth, all the heroes from Akkineni compound are settled some how are other. Naga Chaitanya's career looked a bit shaky but is okay and on the other side, Akhil is shaking the audience even before the release of his debut movie. Now Nagarjuna is concentrating on getting Sumanth and Sushanth settled one after the other.
It is said that Annapurna Studios had brought the remake rights of Bollywood blockbuster film, Vicky Donor directed by Shoojit Sircar. It is said that Nagarjuna wanted to remake the film in Telugu with Sumanth in the lead role. They are currently looking for a suitable director to handle this project and it will be announced very soon.
Vicky Donor remake was in cards for few years now. Earlier they said Madhura Sreedhar will be making this remake as Dana Karna. But the film never went on to sets and now it landed in the Akkineni Compond. The role of a Sperm donor is a very sensitive subject, we will have to see if our audience accept it.
On the other side, after Sumanth's good hit, Golconda High School in 2011, there were three flops on a trot - Raaj, Daggarga Dooramga and Emo Gurram Egaravachu. During the start of this year, Sumanth was supposed to do a project with director Siva Nageshwara Rao and the film was even announced and was also tentatively titled Money. But it was shelved due to some creative differences in the team.
