SS Rajamouli's Baahubali is taking the box office by a storm every where. While all the existing records are being shattered every where, the movie's success is special in Karnataka and there is an interesting story behind it. The movie's Karnataka rights were bagged by Bellary Sai for a whopping 9 Crore which every one called it as a risky deal.


As the movie's release nears, Sai sold it local distributor, RS Srinivas for a whopping 18 Crore (outright deal). Sai got 20% commission of 3.6 Crore effortlessly and the remaining went to the producers. Every one in the trade termed the deal as suicidal for RS Srinivas and predicted a big loss to him. But what happened is the contrary.


The movie had got over 10 Crore share in Karnataka in the first weekend itself. The first Monday collections of the film are greated than Kannada films opening day record. The movie is expected to collect over 25 Crore share there in the full run. Prints and Publicity costed Srinivas another 1 Crore which means 6 Crore profit here which is SENSATIONAL
