Even after producing 100 movies, late Ramanaidu said in an interview he can’t find the success formula in movies. One can’t judge the fate of the movie just after hearing the subject, audience are the real judges. After getting two back to back flops, Prince Mahesh Babu delivered stupendous success with “Srimanthudu”. Before selecting Mahesh as hero, Director Koratala Siva changed his options quite frequently.
Siva came to be known to the Telugu Audience with the success “Mirchi”. Siva had worked with NTR for dialogues in Brindavanam and Oosaravelli. Based on this intimacy and connection, Koratala Siva told Srimanthudu story line to NTR on first. Siva prefers NTR as his hero for his second picture. Reportedly, NTR delayed in making final script. Koratala Siva is start looking for another alternative for Srimanthudu.
He approached Ramcharan and impressed him with story. Movie was announced under the production of Bandla Ganesh. All at the sudden movie was stopped and Ramcharan decided to work with Srinu Vaitla and ignored Siva. Director was approached Mahesh Babu with same story after getting rejected by two star heros. He reached the expectations of Mahesh Babu and breaks the jinx of flop series of Mahesh. The movie run successfully across two Telugu states and expected to reach second place after Babubali in collections.
