We earlier reported that Rajini is essaying role of an aged don in 'Kabali'. We are now providing list of Don roles essayed by various actors in Kollywood.
1. Nayagan
'Velu Naaykar' is one of the most famous characters in history of Tamil cinema. Maniratnam directed the movie with inspiration from Hollywood movie 'God Father'. CNN-IBN included this movie in list of "100 greatest Indian films of all time. The life story of don was well portrayed by Kamal haasan.
2. Baasha
Maanikam @ Maanik Baasha is one of the most famous characters in Kollywood. Rajini himself considers the movie as a path breaking one. Rajini essayed role of Don in a stylish manner. Most of them tried to remake the movie and failed miserably in doing so.
3. Thalaivaa
Vijay acted as Vishwa Bhai who is a Don from Mumbai. The movie was itself a disaster. The don role never matched Vijay and lots of negative critics prevailed during the release of the movie. This is one of the worst movies ever made in Vijay's career.
4. Billa
Ajith essayed role of Malaysian Don in this movie and he is the only actor to reprise Rajinikanth. The movie was directed by Vishnuvardhan and it was a huge success. The movie even opened new doors for directors. Right from Ajith's mannerisms and his delivery everything was top-notch.
