Gunasekhar's Rudhrama Devi finally released today across the globe after numerous postponements. Contrary to the popular opinion, the release was smooth and there are no delays from the schedule any where. Despite the postponements, the hype on the film is intact and that helped for a good advance booking.
As a result the movie opening is expected to be good. On the other side, the talk of the movie is not heartening. There is a divide talk every where and it will affect the film's long run. Trade experts say the movie will have a strong first weekend and the run from Monday will decide its fate.
Rudhrama Devi is brave attempt from Gunasekhar which did not work out fully due to directional flaws. However the movie has got a fair chance to become at least average at the box office. The movie was exempted from 15% Entertainment Tax in Telangana, that will help the movie immensely in the Nizam region.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be watching the film along with his family on Sunday and that will add up to the movie's craze in Nizam. Guna had invested his hard earned 80 Crore in to the movie, it will be a catastrophe to his career if things go wrong with the movie.
