Students and Employees who participated in Telangana struggle and helped Telangana Rashtra Samiti come to power are slowly getting disappointed and getting dejected with the party. It is already known that students are already carrying out protest against government's decision to regularize contract employees which will lower the employment chances of students.
On the other side, employees are disgruntled at being ignored for Medak by-poll elections. Telangana Non Gazetted Officers leader G. Devi Prasad who played a very active role in the last elections was expecting the seat. But employees are disappointed that Sony Transport, a major transport fleet owner, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy in the state was given the ticket. Some allege that TRS received big fund from Prabhakar for the exchange of the seat. Analysts are of the opinion that this move may distance TRS from employees and work against TRS in the by-poll.
The Medak Parliament seat fell vacant due to the resignation of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. KCR won from both Medak Lok Sabha and Gajwel Assembly segment, retained the Gajwel seat and went on to become the CM. Today is the last date for filing of nomination. Scrutiny of nominations would be taken up on Thursday and the last date of withdrawal would be August 30. Election would be conducted on September 13 and counting taken up on September 16.
