TDP’s Edara Haribabu ignored the party WHIP and was elected as Chairman for Prakasam Zilla Parishad on July 13th with YSRCP support. TDP was gave a complaint against Edara and election Returning Officer announced disqualification of Eadara as Chairman of ZP on August 11th. As per the latest buzz, TDP is again thinking of the election for Chairman of Zilla Parishad.
Party leaders are evaluating the situation of winning chances of TDP in Prakasam ZP. TDP needs support of 28 members to bag Prakasam Zillaparishad Chairman. Some of the leaders have ruled out the required majority for TDP and others have very much confidence on support of YSRCP members. Some of the leaders were did a parade before Rajya Sabha member Sujana Chowdary on Monday night.
YSRCP members were travelled along with TDP leaders and made them appear before Sujana Chowdary in NTR Trust Bhavan. Reportedly, 27 members of both YSRCP and TDP were attended the meeting with Sujana Chowdary. TDP needs still one more member to get ZP. On Tuesday, another two members also joined with TDP. Party has confident on its candidate Manne Ravindra’s victory in Chairman Election. YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy has planned to take damage control measures in the party.
