Given the manner in which how after three decades in India, a national party like BJP is trouncing regional parties and moving ahead with its impressive victories is a welcome news because a stable centre is very good for the country. At the same time, this is also causing consternation among some of its allies like Akali Dal in Punjab and TDP in Andhra Pradesh. When it comes to Telangana, it can be understood much easily that TDP will have to be junior partner for BJP in 2019. This would happen if the alliance still continues. But the worry for TDP is now in Andhra Pradesh with fears that the party may be planning to strengthen itself in the state and may be planning to go solo in 2019 with Pawan Kalyan’s support. TDP leaders reportedly feel that even if that doesn’t happen, BJP will at least wrest maximum seats from them with unbearable pressure. But a bigger and wiser goal would be to wrest power from the TRS party and establish their grip on Telangana state.
